As a community church, St. Stephen’s, offers its space and pastoral services to the local community for memorials, funerals, internments, and celebrations of life. Our Sanctuary is comfortable for gatherings of up to 150 people. And we have adequate reception facilities for about the same. Our Minister, Rob Pollock, has extensive experience in dealing with families at times of death and loss. Rob will work with the family to plan a service which brings together story telling, pictures, music, and readings. Our philosophy is that a memorial service should both celebrate the life of the one who has died and deal honestly and sensitively with the reality of grief and loss. Rob provides guidance and bereavement support to families as they plan the important events that mark the passage of a loved one. “When I think of the grieving process and what’s important in terms of a gathering, I tend to think of the three R’s… Remembering, Reflecting, and Releasing. We need some time to remember and share significant memories of our loved one; we reflect on the situation of the death, our relationship to the one who has passed, and of our own mortality; and we need to begin to release, to let go. All of these elements are involved in a service which remembers and celebrates life.” Rev. Rob Pollock
Our Office Administrator, is available to discuss arrangements for memorial services and funerals.

______________ “Through memory, love transcends the limits of time and offers hope at any moment of our lives… When we remember each other with love we evoke each other’s spirit and so enter into a new intimacy, a spiritual union with each other.” Henri Nouwen ______________ |
