Minister: Rev. Julie Lees

Although called to St. Stephen’s in August 2011, Julie’s relationship with this church began in the summer of 2008. From the first service Julie’s experience of St. Stephen’s was one of hospitality, openness, and a willingness to wrestle with and explore scripture. Julie approaches Spirit, our collective faith journey and worship with optimism, creativity and respect. God is a mystery, and as Christians who acknowledge the wonder and awe of the resurrection, we do our best to develop practices and engage with our texts in ways that draw us closer to God, and offer us a life-giving experience of the Divine at work in us and the world.

Youth Leader: Daniel Anctil

Daniel returns to the role of Youth Leader after having been in Victoria earning a BA in Humanities with a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Psychology. Some of Daniel's joys are reading, tabletop games and blogging about cooking and writing. Email Daniel at leadyouth@telus.net to join in the activities for children and youth here at St. Stephen's.

Office Administrator:  Sheila Morris

Sheila joined St. Stephen’s as the Office Administrator in April 2011.  Sheila has worked for over 30 years in administration in a variety of not-for-profit organizations, including several churches.  Her office hours are Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm, Wednesdays from 8 am to 12 pm and Thursdays from 8 am to 1 pm. Contact her for general enquiries about church use and events or to book weddings and memorials.

Music Animator: Roya Ravanbakhsh

Roya joined the St. Stephen’s team in September 2007. Roya’s role is to “animate” the music life of St. Stephen’s.  Roya is a gifted pianist, vocalist, and composer who enjoys working with groups to produce uplifting musical experiences.  She provides spirited music leadership during worship and directs our 12 voice choir.

Sunday School: Taylor Kohn

Taylor has been teaching Sunday school at St. Stephens since 2005. She loves coming to church each and every week to teach the children and hear their stories from the past week. At St. Stephens, we are now using the Godly Play curriculum. Godly play’s visual learning style has already influenced the children in a great way; they are able to recall stories told to them weeks before.
